Armoire Makeover

We moved into our house last summer {after looking for about 4 months and looking at I don't know how many houses!}. We LOVE this house, but we are lacking a home office...and a craft room while I'm mentioning things I wish we had! But I digress...
We do have a formal living room which we would never use, so we bought an armoire to use as an office thinking we would close the doors and hide all the junk when it wasn't in use.
Well, we never close the doors, and the interior designer in me was sick of looking at the mess!
So, I decided I needed to do a little makeover.
I ordered these fabulous Heather Bailey fabrics from etsy and got to work...

I upholstered the back of the armoire with Heather Bailey Pop Daisy in turquoise.
{I LOVE the way it turned out!!!}
Then I covered the shelf with Heather Bailey Tiled Primrose in Yellow.
I found the desk hutch at World Market on sale for $49!!!
I also finally backed up our old computer and disassembled it and replaced it with my cute pink laptop. As well as replacing our old printer with Mike's {much nicer} work printer.
I put all the junk on the bottom shelf into turquoise baskets {also from World Market}, so even though it's all still there it just looke prettier.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

  1. It looks so nice. We too are trying to transform our formal dining into a space that we can actually use!
