trains, trains...and dinosaurs!

Here is a peek at some of the things we have been doing this holiday season...
Sunday, December 13th - The North Pole Express in her PJ's and ready to go

doing a little dancing during the musical part of the show

finally...on the train!

she loved looking out the window and seeing everything going by

this is definitely on our list of things to do again next year!!!

Friday, December 18th - The trains at North Park
we met our friends Dena & Hudson to look at the trains
Avery LOVES trains right now, so this too was a huge hit!!

Avery & Hudson checking things out

looking at all the trains with Mommy

back to explore the mall...before getting a little lunch

Monday, December 21st - The Heard Natural Science Museum Dinosaurs Alive! Exhibit
today we met Dena & Hudson and Leslie & Griffin
to explore the dinosaur exhibit...
we weren't sure how the kids would like it
Griffin & Hudson were both scared of the dinosaurs
(who moved and roared)...
guess who wasn't???
Avery, of course!
Avery & Griffin riding a dinosaur

and here she is mad because she doesn't want to get off!

walking with her friend Hudson

checking out the dinosaurs teeth

on to see some animals with her friends
these were baby mongoose!
Hope you have been enjoying your holiday season too!!!

We like to start out every Thanksgiving by heading to downtown Dallas and meeting up with a group of friends to do the Turkey Trot...

Then we headed home where we were hosting Thanksgiving
at our house {for the first time!} this year...
that's a large crowd to feed
{and that's not everyone!}

Here's a peek at my Thanksgiving table:
placesettings with Avery's handprint turkeys:

and of course the dessert table:
