We had a Mommy & Daddy weekend away this past weekend...

we missed Avery, but had a great time just being grown-ups!

Fall is officially here...

Parade fun...

My friend Leslie teaches 5th grade in Coppell.

So she invited us out to watch their homecoming parade...

Avery had such a fun time!!

more weekend fun...

Today we headed out to the Plano Balloon Festival...

I have to say we were pretty impressed!

There were a LOT of hot air balloons!
{trying to keep cool with a sno-cone...yum!}

and we made it home in time to catch the Cowboys Game...

so everyone was happy!

Busy weekend...

It's that time of year...

fall is just around the corner

and that means time for outdoor festivals!!

We will be hitting one almost every weekend for a while.

It started last weekend with a butterfly festival

and continued this weekend with TWO!

Today we headed out to Grapefest... It was pretty hot (and with no breeze and walking on black top it felt even hotter!)...so we popped into the vintage railroad museum to cool off. Avery thought the BEST part of the museum was the air vents on the floor!

All in all, a fun day!!

when it let up for just a little bit this morning, we got out there to burn a little energy off!

(yup, she's still in her PJ's!)

just enough time to play a little bit before the rain started up again!

this weekend has been rainy and wet...

there was a butterfly festival going on in Southlake hosted by the Kiwanis Club

luckily the rain let up just in time for us to head up there this afternoon!

We are looking forward to the Butterfly Flutterby in Grapevine in October, and the monarch butterfly release!!
